Terms & conditions
Driver
Drivers must be aged
between 25 and 70 at the time of booking. Drivers aged 70 to 75 will incur
an extra £5.00 per day of hire on the insurance.
Drivers must have held a full
licence
for at least 3 years.
Licence must not have any
serious offences on them. No more than 6 points subject to the insurance
company's approval. Convictions must be notified at time of booking.
If the licence is a photo
licence we will need both parts along with 1 other forms of ID (passport,
utility bills with your home address dated within the last 3 months).
Visitors from abroad are
advised to obtain an international driving licence and send us a copy prior
to commencement of the hire period to enable approval from our insurance
company.
The hirer will be
responsible for any speeding or parking fines and penalty points incurred
during the hire period.
Insurance
Fully comprehensive
insurance is included in the hire charge; this is for the vehicle
only and is for the period of hire. Hirers are advised to take out their
own travel insurance which would include personal possessions.
We will require an insurance
deposit of £750.00. this is the insurance excess and will be refunded 3
days after the hire ends, if the motorhome is undamaged and has clean interior.
The cost of any minor
repairs, missing equipment or extra cleaning of the interior will be
deducted from this deposit. In the event of damage that needs to be
claimed from the insurance company full deposit will be forfeited.
Possible causes for the
non-return of the insurance deposit: -
Toilet cassette not cleaned
& emptied £50.00
Damaged tyre- cost of
replacement
Missing or
damaged equipment - lower of cost of repair or replacement
Fuel tank must be returned
full or you will be charged at cost + £15.00
Failure to return on time
will be charge at £50.00 per hour of lateness
Additional charges
European travel insurance

Each 3 point endorsement up

Overseas license holder
£7.50 per day
Each extra driver is £5.00

Maximum of 3 drivers
Security
The hirer is responsible
for the security of the vehicle at all times. The hirer must ensure that
if the vehicle is left unattended at any time it is securely locked
and parked in a safe, well lit location and that any security devices
supplied are used. Remember - the liability is with the hirer.
Bookings
A booking deposit of
£150.00 per week of hire is required within 5 days of the reservation.
This will be deducted from the final total hire charge at the time of
paying the balance. This will be non-refundable in the event of
cancellation.
Telephone bookings can be
made, but are only held for 5 days if the deposit is not received.
Your booking confirmation
will be sent along with an invoice for the hire charges plus the insurance
deposit which must be paid 28 days before the hire period commences.
Cancellation
Cancellations must be in
writing and are detailed below: -
More than 6 weeks before
hire starts - loss of deposit
4 to 6 weeks before hire
starts - 25% of the hire charge
2 to 4 weeks before the
hire starts - 50% of the hire charge
2 weeks or less - 100% of the
hire charge
There will be no refund for
early return of the motorhome.
Availability
The motorhome will be
available for collection between 3pm and 7pm and must be returned between
8am and 11am. After 11am you will not be insured and will be committing a
traffic offence by driving the vehicle.
Whilst we make every effort
to ensure the motorhome reserved is available, if due to circumstances
beyond our control the motorhome is unavailable, we will not be held responsible
in any way and monies paid will be refunded.
Breakdown & Accidents
Every effort is made to
ensure the motorhome is roadworthy and in a safe condition when it leaves
our premises. In the event of a breakdown, recovery and repair services are
provided by the RAC/AA to be confirmed on collection. The hirer is responsible for notifying us as soon as any fault becomes
apparent so we can try to get it repaired as soon as possible. The hirer
may authorize any repair up to £50.00. This will be refunded on your
return with a full VAT receipt. We can accept no liability for accommodation charges, replacement vehicle
costs or other claims arising from breakdown accident or other causes.
In case of an accident the
hirer must notify us by telephone immediately and complete an insurance
claim form on your return.
Fuel, Gas & Oil
The motorhome will be
supplied with a full tank of fuel and must be returned likewise. The cost
of refueling will be deducted from the deposit. The hirer is liable for all repairs if the wrong fuel is used. Oil and water must be checked on a daily basis and
it is the responsibility
of the hirer to keep the fluids at the correct levels. The motorhome will be equipped with two gas bottles of which at least one
will be full. The hirer will be responsible for any refills.
Pets
Under no circumstances are
any animals to be allowed in the motorhome. Any damage or extra cleaning
will be deducted from the deposit.
Smoking
Smoking is not allowed in
the motorhome. We ask that this be respected for our other customers. The
cost of extra valeting will be deducted from the deposit.
Parking
We offer safe parking for
customer vehicles at owners risk however, no liability is accepted for an
loss or damage.
Mileage
Unlimited mileage is
included in the hire.
The motorhome must not be
taken outside mainland Britain without prior written consent and appropriate
insurance.
We reserve the right to
vary the rates and conditions at any time, and reserve the right to cancel or refuse hire
to any persons without explanation or prior warning.
